Warfare Center Division, Newport, RI, requires engineering,
analytical, testing, fabrication, installation and checkout services
for both advanced and operational systems. The tasks relate to
in-service systems as well as developmental systems, subsystems and
respective components. Components include, but are not limited to:
sonar transducers, sonar arrays, towed bodies, tow cables, array
handling systems, amplifiers, display consoles, waveform generators,
processors, interfaces, and on-board trainers. The tasks involve the
disciplines of industrial, mechanical, electrical, electronic, and
related shipboard engineering. This is a combined follow-on to
contracts N66604-95-D-0001 (awarded to Analysis & Technology) and
N66604-95-D-0008 (awarded to Marconi Systems). The period of
performance is 60 months under an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite
Quantity (Cost Plus Fixed Fee) type of contract, that will allow
Multiple Awards. Key Labor Categories and estimated hours are: Manager,
Program Project II 2,900 hours; Engineer, Electrical/Electronics III
5,630 hours; Technician, Electrical/Electronics VI 16,530 hours.
Non-Key Labor Categories/Hours are: Engineer, Electrical/Electronics I
12,400 hours; Engineer, Mechanical II 3,940 hours; Technician,
Electrical/Electronics III 76,270 hours; Technician, Mechanical I
27,400 hours; Drafter II 4,530 hours; Technical Writer/Editor 38,900
hours; Welder 11,000 hours; Word Processor III 25,000 hours. Award will
be based on the Greatest Value to the Government and the evaluation
factors include: Personnel, Technical Approach, Past Performance and
Cost. The anticipated award date is 05 January 2000. All responsible
