intends to award a Non-Personal Service Contract for a HIV Prevention
Specialist. Duties are to be performed in the Psychology Department, at
the Federal Correctional Institution, Petersburg, Virginia. The
services include but are not limited to: Conducting HIV Prevention and
AIDS education instruction services to educate federal offenders about
routes of HIV transmission, high risk behaviors, and lifestyles which
minimize or delay the onset of AIDS, to provide individualize sessions
with HIV infected federal offenders to review their program, make
suggestions regarding their drug abuse, healthcare, and psychological
treatments. The Contractor must have a Bachelor's of Science degree in
a medical field such as nursing, physicians assistance, or Master's
degree in psychology counseling or social work from an accredited
college or university. The Contractor shall furnish a copy of their
resume, degree, license in physicians assistance, counseling or social
work. The Contractor is responsible for providing and maintaining
their own insurance coverage and provide proof of coverage with their
offer. This contract will include a Base Year not to exceed 12 months
from date of award, with four (4), one (1) year option periods for
renewal. The estimated number of sessions for the Base Year= 12,(One
(1) session per month, with a session defined as four (4) hours in
length. The estimated number of sessions for each Option Year is the
same as the Base Year. Solicitation packages will be mailed out August
3, 2000, with all offers due back on September 5, 2000, at 1:00 p.m.
Eastern Standard Time. It is anticipated this solicitation will result
in a Firm-Fixed Price, Requirements Contract. The proposed contract is
100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may
submit an offer which will be considered for award. Requests for
