COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JUNE 29,2000 PSA#26323RD ANNUAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING & SUPPORTABILITY CONFERENCE The Systems
Engineering & Supportability Conference: "Strategies for Reducing
Total Ownership Costs": October 23-26, 2000 in San Diego, CA. Reducing
Total Ownership Cost (RTOC) continues to be a key objective of the
Department of Defense (DoD) as weapon system lifecycles are extended
and operation and support costs dominate the budget. The Systems
Engineering Committee has established that the greatest opportunity to
achieve this objective for new and legacy systems is through a robust
Systems Engineering methodology and process. The Systems Engineering
and Supportability Conference is an annual event targeted at exploring
this relationship. This Conference seeks to create a forum for Program
Managers, Systems Engineers, Chief Scientists, and Engineers and
Managers from the Design, Verification, Support and Logistics
communities from both Government and Industry to interact. The
conference will provide the opportunity to shape policy and procedures
by exchanging innovative tactics and lessons learned in advancing the
Revolution in Business Affairs. WEB: Click here to learn more about
