Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) intends to enter into a sole source
purchase order award with Mallett Technology, Inc. for ANSYS Ls-Dyna,
Ls-Dyna Drop Test Module, and Flotran licenses. The software will be
used to perform structural and thermal finite element analysis in
performing reviews of designs submitted by license applicants who use
ANSYS software. The procurement shall be awarded under Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. A request for quotation does not exist for this
requirement. This action is for supplies and services for which the
Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under
the authority of FAR 13.106-1(2)(b). Interested persons may identify
their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit
proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals.
However, all proposals received within 15 days after date of
publication of this synopsis will be determined by the Government. A
determination by the Government not to open the requirement to
competition based upon responses to this notice is received as a result
of a notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the
purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
