Kruskie, Contracting Officer, (570) 547-1641, extension 542 The Metropolitan Detention Center located at 100 29th Street, Brooklyn, New York, is seeking qualified elevator maintenance services for two elevators inside the building. The elevator maintenance and inspection shall be performed on a monthly basis according to the contract, the latest edition of American Standard Safety Code for Elevators, and other applicable laws. The resulting contract has a base performance period of twelve (12) months. Four additional twelve (12) month option periods may be unilaterally exercised in accordance with the terms of the resulting contract; however, the Government is not obligated in any manner to exercise any of the option periods. These services will be solicited under Request For Quotation (RFQ) 21451-0032. The RFQ issue date is anticipated to be July 17, 2000, and the response date for receipt of quotes is anticipated to be August 14, 2000. It is the responsibility of the of each prospective offeror to verify the date for the issuance of the solicitation, and the time and date for receipt of quotations. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this acquisition is 7349 and contains a size standard of $12 million. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business concerns.
