Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington DC
(FISCNORDETWASH) has a requirement in support of the Norfolk Naval
Shipyard Detachment (PESO), Annapolis, MD, for the procurement of an
ultra-high water blast filtration and recovery equipment used for the
removal of paint from ship hulls while the ship is in dry-dock. This
requirement shall be purchased as follows: Lot I, Quantity (1) for an
Ultra-High Pressure Crawler Type Blast and Recovery Unit. Delivery for
Lot I shall be at the Naval Intermediate Maintenance Facility, Pearl
Harbor, HI. Lot II, Quantity (1) for an Ultra-high Pressure Pump, Rated
at 40,000 PSI AT 6 GPM. Delivery for Lot II shall be at the Naval Ship
Repair Facility, Yokosuka, Japan. Acceptance shall be FOB destination
by the Government at the Government site for Lot I and Lot II
including all options. The type of contract shall be firm fixed price
supply. The contractor shall provide on-site training for maintenance
and operation. The proposed contract is being considered as a 100
percent set-aside for Small Business concerns, as defined by FAR clause
52.219-6. Interested Small Businesses should provide the contracting
office as early as possible but not later than 14 Jul 00, a positive
statement of their eligibility as a small business. A manufacturer or
regular dealer submitting an offer in its own name agrees to furnish,
end items manufactured or produced by small business concerns inside
the United States, its territories and possessions, the Commonwealth of
Puerto Rico, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or the
District of Columbia. If adequate response is not received from small
business concerns, the solicitation will instead be issued, without
further notice as: Unrestricted. Therefore, replies to this notice are
also requested from Large Business Concerns. All offerors must be
registered with the Central Contractor Register (CCR) prior to award.
