This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-00-Q-0263 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This is a total small business set-aside, and only small business concerns will be considered. The standard industrial code is 4710 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001-Aluminum Tubes. Statement of Work for Aluminum Tubes: (1.) SCOPE: The contractor shall manufacture 400 EA (3 inch OD x .125 inch wall) drawn over mandrel (DOM) Aluminum tubes (6061-T6 IAW ASTM-B210) with a length of 12 ft. each and ship to Crane, Indiana; (2.) APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS: 2.1 ASTM-B120; (3.) REQUIREMENTS: 3.1 The contractor shall manufacture 400 ea. (12 ft. lengths) Aluminum tubesin accordance with (IAW) the above ASTM and all specifications within; 3.2 All cost for transportation and freight from shipping point(s) to destination shall be borne by the contractor and included in its unit price for the item; 3.3 Certification of Compliance for materials used in manufacturing process shall be mailed to NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane, Attention Code 4027; 3.4 Complete delivery shall be within 20 weeks after the award of the contract. Delivery is required F.O.B. Crane, In 47522 within 140 days after award. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award.
