The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport plans to award a sole source purchase order to Barton Instrument Systems of City of Industry, CA for the upgrade and refurbishment of thirteen (13) Motional Transducers. The Navy currently utilizes these transducers in critical technology equipment and systems. Barton Instrument Systems is the original equipment manufacturer and the only known company with the technical expertise to understand what is required to upgrade and refurbish these motional transducers. This is a sole source acquisition authorized under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Any company that believes it has the capability to meet the Government's minimum specifications may submit a proposal which must contain technical and cost data which shall be reviewed by the Government.
