The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order, under the authority of 13.106-1(b), with National Instruments, 6504 Bridge Point Parkway, Austin, Texas for the renewal of Multi-user Software License agreement for the LabView software subscription. National Instruments is the software developer, and therefore, the software is available only through them. LabView is a software programming system, currently used by over 100 NIST researchers to assist in data acquisition and control, data analysis, and data presentation. Implementation of the LabView Multi-user License will increase accessibility of LabView software to more NIST researchers because of lower costs for new copies. The period of performance for this purchase order is one year. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the Government will consider all quotes received by July 6, 2000.
