This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-00-Q-0264 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This requirement is unrestricted. Provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-18 and DCN 20000606. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for this procurement is 3572 and the size standard is 1,000 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 35 Each Hard Drive Assemblies, Miltope Part Number 491917-63-Rev B. This requirement is issued on a sole sources basis to Miltope Corporation, 500 Richardson Road Soute, Hope Hull, AL. Miltope is the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Mission Processors. This part is a subcomponent of the mission processor. These hard drive assemblies must integrate precisely with the existing systems in terms of form, fit, function and compatibility. Delivery is required F.o.B. Crane, IN 47522 within 90 days after award. Final inspection will be at Miltope's facility by a representative of DCMC. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
