Contracting Officer, 256-955-5904 This U.S. Army Space and Missile
Defense Command (USASMDC) requirement is a competitive 100% small
business set-aside action to support the Advanced Measurements Optical
Range (AMOR) program. The AMOR is a unique facility which is the only
indoor optical range that provides accurate far-field simulation and
measurement of target signatures. The proposed contract effort shall
include, but is not limited to the following: The contract shall
implement a program to operate and maintain the laser imaqer located in
the AMOR facility in Building 7768 on Redstone Arsenal. The contractor
shall collect data on specified targets, analyze the data, and report
on the results. The contractor shall use and maintain existing
software used to operate the laser imager and to collect data. The
contractor shall also develop and validate software, as required, to
operate the laser imager and to analyze the collected data. The
contractor shall design, build, test, operate and maintain laser
systems under government direction including but not limited to CO2
multifolded lasers. The contractor shall have expertise and experience
with CO2 lasers, multifolded lasers, laser imagers, and the related
data collection and analysis. The contractor shall design, build (or
procure as appropriate), test, operate and maintain all components of
the AMOR laser imager and associated equipment. The contractor shall
design, build (or procure as appropriate) test, operate and maintain a
portable laser imager, as required by the government, in locations
specified by the government. The contractor shall construct simulated
targets as required by the government. A current SECRET facility and
storage clearance will be required for performance. This action is not
opened to allied participation at prime contract level. The Standard
Industrial Classification Code applicable to this effort is 8731, the
Small Business size standard is 1000. The Government contemplates award
of a cost plus fixed fee (CPFF) level of effort type of contract. The
period of performance for this effort will be twenty-four (24) months
for the basic with a surge option to the basic and three Options for a
twelve month period of performance for each. There are surge options
to each of the three 12 month options. The request for proposal is
