The USDA Forest Service, Southwestern Region, requests proposals to provide UNIX system administration support and services, as well as installation and maintenance of external peripheral equipment associated with the IBM RISC 6000 servers. It will also include installation and troubleshooting of nationally supplied corporate software releases, as well as installation and maintenance of national and regional user application software. This would include running vendor-supplied diagnostics to diagnose failure, interface with vendor to diagnose/resolve hardware failures on very complex Unix operating systems; and perform preventative maintenance on printers and plotters. Install and configure PC's and IBM RISC 6000 servers. Award will be made on the basis of best value. This procurement is 100% set aside for Small Business. The SIC Code is 7379.
