IAW AR215-1, 7-4 and 7-5 the US Army Alaska is conducting a review of potential contractor services for performance of activities within the Directorate of Community Activity Services at the US Army garrison. The programs under consideration are located at Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright Alaska. The major functional area is the Information Management Office. The purpose of this notice is to identify and establish initial interest from the vendor community. Responses are for planning purposes only. There is no obligation on the part of the government to issue a formal solicitation as a result of this request and participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the US Government. Information may be used to help formulate bidder's mailing lists, acquisition strategies, to include socioeconomic program support and to help establish commercial practices available to the government. Companies responding may indicate interest in one or both functional areas. Services are currently being performed by Government employees (appropriated and non-appropriated funding). Information Management Offices: The offices are open 5 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are currently five (5) full time staff. Office provides programs and services: Install and maintain new and replacement personal computer hardware and software within the DCA; provide software troubleshooting service; service and maintain the following software systems within DCA: Time Labor Management System (TLMS) software and hardware, Relocation Automated Information System (RAIS), Child Development Services Automated Management System (CDSAMS), Standard Installation Topic Exchange Service (SITES), Financial Management Budgeting System (FMBS), RecTrac system, GolfTrac system; provide assistance to computer operators; provide training in computer use, software applications and self-rescue for software problems; serve as liaison between DCA and 408th or 59th Signal Battalions; train lodging personnel on GEAC software system; provide LAN and DLAN systems; prepare all CAPER requests for computer hardware; provide direct assistance and repair for emergency hardware and software system failures; maintain library of technical manuals; perform warranty work as authorized; maintain and update DEERS system; maintain three (3) LCCS servers with ten (10) computers; provide installation, maintenance and upgrades of DMS (email) system for eighty (80) PCs; maintain overall systems security.
