N Y (located 60 miles north of New York City) is conducting a market
research survey pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is for information
purposes only, and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request
for Proposal, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the
Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost
incurred for their participation in this survey. This is a Sources
Sought Notice (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5.)
to identify sources that can provide services necessary to provide
aerial spraying services for mosquito control at West Point. The
contractor shall be required to provide all labor, materials, licenses,
permits, transportation, technical expertise, and supervision necessary
to provide aerial adult mosquito control services in designated areas
(estimated 2,300 acres) at the West Point. Areas to be treated will
include Academic and Summer training areas, Public, Housing,
Recreational, Athletic and Woodland areas. The Contractor shall be
licensed, registered, and certified in the state of New York, to apply
pesticides in support of public health requirements, by aerial
application on West Point.This survey is to determine the capability of
potential sources, and the availability of commercial sources and
services pursuant to FAR Part 10. Potential contractors/sources should
be provide written evidence that: (1) services of this nature have
been performed in the past 3 years, (2) brief history of source's
experience and capability, (3) estimated monetary cost per acre of
spraying, indicating the different rates based on pesticides to be
used, (4) estimated flight time for spraying services based on
estimated acreage. Flights will be made during the evening hours when
the target mosquito is active, and is the biggest threat. Interested
