date for quotes as beingT 27 July 2000. The description is modified to
read: The Coast Guard is seeking quotes from qualified sources that
can provide maintenance/repair/upgrade services for approximately 160
Trimble 4000IM DGPS Integrity Monitors. It is the Government's belief
that Trimble Corporation, the OEM; and NEI (a Trimble distributor) can
provide these services. However, other potential sources having the
expertise, required capabilities, and the ability to purchase OEM
parts, can submit data with their quotation. The Government does not
intend to pay for the information solicited. Responses must be concise
and be specifically directed to the requirement mentioned above.
Concerns that respond to the notice must fully demonstrate their
capabilities to meet the requirements. They must provide
self-supporting, clear, concise, and complete documentation supporting
their capabilities. The following information must be provided to
evaluate the acceptability of the repair services offered. Complete and
accurate data must demonstrate: 1) that potential source has the
capability to perform the support services, 2) that the offered parts
have been satisfactorily manufactured by the OEM, and 3) that the
potential source has the ability to purchase parts from the OEM on a
continuing basis. The contractor's experience and expertise with the
Trimble 4000IM DGPS Monitors in providing extended warranty, repair and
upgrades is an important evaluation factor, as well as the personnel
experience and qualifications in performance. A pre-award survey may be
conducted to verify the validity of information provided in your
