Work will begin on 10 October 2000 and complete on 1 December 2000. Anticipated work items include: underwater body hull plating inspection; exhaust port hull plating replacement and MDE slow speed exhaust piping renewal; clean and inspect tanks; propulsion shafts replacement; propeller cleaning and inspection; exhaust diffuser inspect and clean; critical motors renewal; electric meter, tachometer, pressure gauges and thermometer calibration; vent piping modifications; ventilation modifications; vent fans and motor overhaul; sea strainer overhaul; sea valve renewal and overhaul; steering gear hydraulic overhaul; rudder stock & liners inspect and repair; fin stabilizer system overhaul; warping capstan inspect/repair; single point davit inspect and test; sewage and grey water piping clean and inspect; grey water holding tank(s) clean & inspect; sewage holding tank clean & inspect; potable water tank preservation; battery space bilge preservation; forepeak compartment preservation; rudder preservation (100%); underwater body preservation (partial); deck covering replacement/repair.
