The Program Support Center on behalf of the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) intends to award a simplified acquisition on a sole source basis to The National Council on Problem Gambling, Inc, 208 G. Street, NE 2nd floor, Washington, Dc 20002. The basis for this requirement is: The contractor shall collaborate with CMHS to develop a White Paper and convene a 1 day Symposium on problem and pathological gambling within the context of mental health. The White Paper and Symposium shall identify appropriate measures to gather information to track gambling rates, behaviors and related factors. In addition, the contractor shall identify experts, national organizations and agencies to participate in the symposium, and provide logistical support. The Contractor shall prepare proceedings, recommendations and develop a final report summarizing its activities under this contract. The proposed simplified acquisition is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1.
