DESC: IAW AR215-1, 7-4 and 7-5 the US Army Alaska is conducting a review of potential contractor services for performance of activities within the Directorate of Community Activity Services at the US Army garrison. The programs under consideration are located at Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright Alaska. The major functional area is the Financial Management Division. The purpose of this notice is to identify and establish initial interest from the vendor community. Responses are for planning purposes only. There is no obligation on the part of the government to issue a formal solicitation as a result of this request and participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the US Government. Information may be used to help formulate bidder's mailing lists, acquisition strategies, to include socioeconomic program support and to help establish commercial practices available to the government. Companies responding may indicate interest in one or both functional areas. Services are currently being performed by Government employees (appropriated and non-appropriated funding). Financial Management Division: The office is open 5 days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are currently six (6) full time staff. Provides programs and services: Prepares and revises annual non-appropriated fund (NAF) operating budgets; ensures proper accountability of NAF funds; administers payroll attendance reports; administers petty cash fund; prepares correspondence, statistics, reports and other documents; conducts NAF financial briefings; performs quarterly cash counts; maintains Unit Fund and BOSS accounts; performs fiscal observed inventories; administers TBA, TDY orders and delinquent accounts receivable; collects and reports on NSF checks.
