L -- CONTRACTOR ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES (CETS)!! The Marine Corps Tactical System Support Activity intends to award a sole-source contract to Litton Systems, Inc. (Data Systems Division), Agoura Hills, California for Contractor Engineering and Technical Services (CETS) in support of the AN/TYQ-23 (V) 1, Tactical Air Operations Module (TAOM) and the Sector Anti-Air War Facility (SAAWF). Contract field services personnel will provide technical non-personal services, on a worldwide basis. This support encompasses the operation maintenance, and training of personnel for the AN/TQY-23 (V) 1, the Sector Anti-Air Warfare Facility (SAAWF) and associated peripheral equipment. The initial period of performance will be 1 October 2000 through 30 September 2001 with four successive option years, ending in 30 September 2005. As the manufacturer of the AN/TYQ-23 (V) 1, Litton Systems, Inc. has been determined to be the only source that has the technical knowledge and experience necessary to understand the complexities of the AN/TYQ-23 and to therefore provide the minimum level of field support required. No RFP is available for competitive bidding. Interested parties, however, are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying the requirement.
