Box 1169, Warm Springs, OR 97761 until 2:15 pm, Prevailing Local Time on Thursday July 20, 2000, at which time and place RFP's will be opened and read. The Tribes Early Childhood Education Center, is seeking proposals for Mental Health/Behavior Specialist Services, for children six weeks to ten years old, for the Head Start program, Early Head Start program and Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education program. The department's goals and objectives in the Head Start and Early Head Start programs include identifying vulnerable children, the development of a mental health curriculum, parent education and support, and individual counseling. The Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education goals include a Transdiciplinary Team approach to assessments, intervention and successful inclusion of children with behavior disorders; also, participate in multi-diciplinary teams for case reviews, provide clinical assessments of referred children, confer with parents, teachers, caregivers and specialists to design and deliver appropriate intervention in a home, childcare or classroom setting, provide individual counseling and/or family counseling or refer to outside agencies as is appropriate, provide training and mentoring for teachers in the area of social/emotional development and teaching social skills, participate in Individual Family Service Plans teams, develop and consult in administering of behavioral and social/emotional goals and objectives.
