Student Services Building #47, Building Shell and Partial Interior
Improvements, at CSU Monterey Bay. In general the work shall consist of
the renovation of an existing three-story concrete frame building and
partial basement approximately 32,000 square feet in size. Abatement
work and the majority of the demolition work have been previously
completed. Essentially, the work shall consist of the exterior
enclosure of the building and finishing of the partial basement and
first two floors of the building. The following components of the work
will not be included in this contract: 1. The build out of the third
floor with the exception of the building core elements. 2. The interior
painting at the basement, first and second floors. 3. The installation
of all floor coverings except any ceramic or quartzite file and base.
4. Exterior hardscape and landscaping. Bids are due on 8/17/00 at 2
p.m. (California Time.) Estimated construction cost is $3,400,000.
Class B State of California Contractor's license is required. Pre-bid
conference and walk through is scheduled for 7/11/00 at 10 a.m.
(California time) in Bldg. 84-A. Plans and specifications are
$250.00,which is a refundable deposit. For more information, contact R.

with the Chancellor's Office five days prior to the bid date. The
Trustees require the DVBE participation goal or good faith effort. This
project is funded by a federal grant from the Economic Development
Administration (EDA), U.S. Department of Commerce. Davis Bacon Wage
Rates or State of California Prevailing Wage Rates are applicable, and
