Service Center, contracts_dsc@nps.gov. The National Park Service,
Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals for construction firms
having the capability to perform the work described below. A
negotiated firm-fixed price contract will be awarded requiring
submission of both a technical and a price proposal. The Government
will consider an offeror's technical capability to be significantly
more important than its price and will select the contractor whose
proposal represents the best value to the Government. The work of this
contract consists of construction of a new membrane filtration water
treatment plant, construction of a new 500,000-gallon concrete water
tank, conversion of the existing campground potable water flood
irrigation system to a new water drip irrigation system, and demolition
of the existing water treatment plant. All requests for project
documents must be made in writing. Project documents may also be viewed
at various plan rooms. Individuals wishing to receive a list of plan
rooms should contact the issuing office. Estimated price range is
between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Time for completion is 455 calendar
days after notice to proceed. The Request for Proposal (RFP) including
plans and specifications will be available approximately 21 days from
publication of this requirement. Requests for the RFP package must be
in writing. Request may be sent via facsimile 303/969-2040 or mailed
directly to the National Park Service, Denver Service Center, 12795 W.
Alameda Parkway, P.O. Box 25287, Denver, Colorado 80225. This
solicitation is open to large and small businesses. Because this
acquisition could result in an award over $1,000,000, a subcontracting
plan will be required from the selected firm, if the firm is a large
business concern. Proposal due date is approximate; actual date will be
established at the time documents are available. All responsible
sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. Posted
