The notice is changed to read as follows: The work of this project requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment as necessary to complete the general construction of a 50 gpm water treatment plant. Included in the work is a lake intake and pumping system, waterline, electrical system, package water treatment plant and backwash leach field, concrete masonry block building with slab on grade floor, metal roof over manufactured wood truss and building accessories. The project is located at Butte Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, Lassen County, California. The project site is located in a remote area with no imenities. The estimated price range of the project is between $250,000-$500,000 with completion required by August 1, 2001. A shutdown is anticipated during the snow/winter season. Award will be based on a 'greatest value' to the Government determination to be made after considering costs and factors other than cost. Factors include past performance, experience and a proposed work plan as set forth in the solicitation. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about July 17, 2000. The due date for receipt of proposals will be approximately 30 days after issuance. This acquisition is unrestricted pursuant to Public Law 100-656. All responsible sources may submit an offer which, if timely received, will be considered.
