The work of this project requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials and equipment as necessary to complete the general construction of a 50 gpm water treatment plant. Included in the work is a lake intake and pumping system, waterline, electrical system, package water treatment plant and backwash leach field, concrete masonry block building with slab on grade floor, metal roof over manufactured wood truss and building accessories. The project is located at Butte Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, Butte County, California. The project site is located in a remote area with no imenities. The estimated price range of the project is between $250,000-$500,000 with completion required within 365 days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The completion time includes anticipated winter shutdown and may be negotiable prior to award. Award will be based on the greatest value to the Government after considering costs and factors other than cost as set forth in the solicitation. The Request for Proposal will be available on or about July 17, 2000. The due date for receipt of proposals will be approximately 30 days after issuance.
