The contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, supervision, and transportation to perform all work required for the Correction Connections, located at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. The project includes, furnishing and installing backflow preventers of different types and sizes to correct cross connections in the Depot's water distribution and plumbing systems. Typical cross connections to be corrected include fire sprinkler systems, lawn irrigation systems, feed water to stream water heaters, feed water to cooling towers, vehicle wash racks, and stand pipes at sewage pump stations. Backflow preventers are required to be installed both internally within buildings and externally outside of buildings. The work also includes abatement of asbestos-containing material, compliance with the requirements of SCDHEC regulations andincidental related work. The SIC Code is 1623. The size standard is $17,000,000.00. The estimated range for this project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. The estimated time for completion is 285 calendar days. The estimated solicitation release date is 20 July 2000. The estimated due date for receipt of bids is 18 August 2000.
