The work of this project includes all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete replacement of approximately 40 metal/CMP road drainage culverts at Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin County, California. Culverts are located along approximately 29 lane miles of paved public roads. The work will include removal of paved surfaces across both traffic lanes at each culvert location and excavation and removal of existing deteriorated metal culverts. New, traffic rated, reinforced plastic culverts will be installed, backfilled, and the asphalt road surface replaced. Approximately 22 lane miles of road section shall be restriped at the completion of the culvert replacement phase of the work. The estimated price range of the project is between $100,000-$250,000 with completion required within 180 days after Notice to Proceed. An award determination will be based on the greatest value to the Government after considering costs and factors other than cost (i.e., past performance, experience)as set forth in the solicitation. The Request for Proposal will be available for mailing approximately July 28, 2000. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after issuance.
