This is a sole source acquisition to Alaska Weather Operation Services (AWOS) of Anchorage, AK. This is for the purchase of a aluminum shelters. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Immediate need for the shelters are being requested in order to replace one of the environmental chemical storage locations and also to maintain EPA standards, a source is needed immediately. . Solicitation number F65501-00-00Q0251 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The incorporated document provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 3448. ALUMINUM SHELTERS: Line Item 0001: 2 EA, Aluminum Shelters constructed of marine grade aluminum. Sidewalls are to be 3/16" thick, 8ft roof, and electricity ready through a 60 amp 110/220 service. Thermostatic controlled electric baseboard and self contained. The new shelter needs to have heat available to maintain the integrity of the chemicals. Delivery terms shall be FOB destination with delivery to Eareckson AS, no later than 10 days ARO. The following provisions and clauses are incorporated and shall remain in effect in any resultant purchase order: FAR Part 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items is incorporated by reference. The provision at FAR Part 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to the solicitation. Award will be made based on low-price/technically acceptable offeror. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions.
