The Social Security Administration (SSA) has a requirement for the repair and maintenance of three (3) 1000-ton electric centrifugal chillers #YKPEPBJ1-CZ (standard units); one (1) 976-ton, electric centrifugal chiller #YKPEPBJ1-CZC (geared for heat recovery); and one (1) 800-ton, absorption chiller #YPCFD19GL46HSC. These are York International Brand, high efficiency, Millennium chillers that must be maintained by personnel with specialized, and current up-to-date training. The contractor shall be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment in accordance with the manufacturer_s recommendations. The contractor shall provide 24 hours/7 days a week (including holidays) emergency services, with a 2 hour response time by an approved factory trained technician. The contractor shall also provide annual, factory certified training for approximately (20) SSA employees. The period of performance shall be for a one year base with two 1-year options. SSA knows of only one source that can provide theseservices, York International, 9055A Guilford Road, Columbia, Maryland 21046. Firms responding to this notice shall provide a list of references to demonstrate that they have experience in maintaining the specified equipment. The information should also include the point of contact and telephone number for SSA to conduct reference checks. The determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative response are received within 15 days of this publication, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the acquisition and negotiate a sole source award to York International.
