DESCRIPTION: The Contractor shall provide maintenance services on an existing Government-owned, environmental control system. The system is a Honeywell, Inc. Excel 5000 Building Supervisor system. This system is located at the Mt. Weather Emergency Assistance Center, 19844 Blue Ridge Mountain Road, Bluemont, Virginia 20135. The maintenance services include: (1) Preventive Maintenance; (2) Hardware Maintenance; (3) Software Maintenance; and (4) Remedial Maintenance. The contractor shall be required to maintain a 24-hour, seven day per week telephone contact, or employ other methods, for notification by the Government of the need for remedial maintenance. Remedial maintenance shall require a 4-hour response time upon notification by the Government to the contractor that said maintenance is needed. Principal period of maintenance is defined as 7:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Additional requirements shall be conveyed within the Request for Proposal. Contractor personnel assigned to this project shall possess aTop Secret security clearance, based upon a background investigation. This is a Best Value procurement. Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of technical and cost using source selection procedures specified in the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to evaluate proposals and award without discussions. A Firm-Fixed Price Service/Supply contract is anticipated. Solicitation No. EMV-2000-RP-0040 will be issued on or around July 18, 2000, with a proposal due date approximately 30 days thereafter.
