It is the intent of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure data conversion services for the Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Project (CRISP) System. The CRISP System is NIH's central scientific information databank on funded research projects. Maintenance of the CRISP databases requires that source documents are converted to machine-readable (electronic) format. The data conversion services will include but are not limited to the following requirements: 1. data entry and verification of data from source document utilizing ASCII or MS Word software; 2. superscripts and subscripts appearing in scientific formulas and terminology; 3. handwritten edits; 4. verification of document entered as ASCII or MS Word text; 5. the vendor will convert approximately 5,5000 documents with a minimum accuracy rate of 99.5%; 6. data entry and verified documents must be submitted within 7 calendar days electronically via File Transfer Protocol (FTP). This service will procure under FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisitions). Request for Quotations (RFQ) Number NLM 00-150/UHP will be available on or about July 20, 2000.
