removal and disposal of the Buckeye Creek "Bailey Bridge"
superstructure and replacement with precast/prestressed voided concrete
slabs on the existing reinforced concrete abutments. Additional work
includes the full removal, disposal, and replacement of the Desert
Creek Bridge and concrete abutments with a timber treated bridge on
timber abutments. Work requirements at both sites include sediment
control, management of traffic and the installation of riprap and
asphalt surfacing. From Bridgeport, California, proceed southwesterly
about 7.5 miles on the Twin Lakes Hwy. to the road junction near Doc &
Al's Resort, turn right and continue northwesterly 3.5 miles to
Buckeye Creek Bridge near the campground. Proceed northerly on
California State Route 182 & Nevada State Route 338, about 25 miles to
the Risue Canyon road, turn left and continue northwesterly about 7.5
miles to the Desert Creek Bridge. Est. start date is 9/5/00 with 90
