The Chief, RCB, TBSS, NCI, NIH is conducting a market survey to determine the existence of potential business sources capable to support the efforts of the National Cancer Institute's Biological Resources Branch in providing high quality biological response modifiers and biological standards to qualified investigators for preclinical and laboratory studies. This is a sources sought for companies with the capability to provide the facilities and personnel to operate a computerized inventory system and repository for the acquisition, receipt, storage and distribution of biological reagents, standards, and tumor cell lines. Facilities must include sufficient, well-monitored and appropriately controlled space for (-)70 degrees C, (-)20 degrees C, (+) 4 degrees C, and liquid nitrogen storage. Aseptic facilities should also be available to sterilely aliquot and label new products. Sources must have or provide evidence that they can establish (1) adequate facilities in which the Biological Resources Branch Repository can be maintained; where orders and requests can be received within fourteen (14) working days after contract award; and, from which reagents can be shipped within twenty-one (21) days after contract award, and (2) because of the need for the pick-up of biologics with a short half-life from the Biological Resources Branch, NCI-FCRDC, sources must demonstrate the capability to pick up biologics from, and deliver them to, the Frederick Cancer Research and Development Center, Frederick, Maryland 21702-1201 within twenty-four (24) hours.
