This synopsis is for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This synopsis is the result of the RFI issued on 25 June 1999 and the follow-on Industry meeting held at Kelly AFB on 24-27 August 1999. Solicitation F41608-00-R-49121 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). Contract line item 0001 is for the number of T56-A-15 Basis Engines (6842601), line item 0002 is for the number of Gearboxes (P/N 6847260), line item 0003 is for the number of Torque Meters (P/N 6897603) and line item is for the total cost of the required data identified on a DD form 1423 to be provided by the Contractor in exchange for a set number of previously installed parts which include T56-A7B power sections (P/N 6844915), T56-A9 D&E Power sections (P/N 23052015), T56-9 Compressor Modules (P/N 23002755), T56-A7B Reduction Gearboxes (P/N 6847260), and T56-A7B Torque Meters (P/N 23064874). Materiel is to be viewed during a two week period beginning 10 July 2000 and ending 21 July 2000. All costs incurred to view this offered materiel will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items also applies to this acquisition. Qualifications requirements are in accordance with Commercial procedures. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their offer. Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Condition Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items may be applicable to this acquisition. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-03. Coded packaging requirements will be provided upon request.
