U.S.Army CECOM Logistics and Readiness Center (LRC) is performing a market survey to identify software tools that would improve, streamline and make more efficient its production, maintenance and logistics engineering functions. These functions include the preparation of acquisition requirements documents, processing of engineering changes, value engineering, development of maintenance concepts, technical data management, development and distribution of engineering policy and procedures, configuration management, quality discrepancy reporting and tracking, life-cycle cost modeling and tracking, development of specifications and other related activities. The LRC currently uses a variety of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) and government-off-the-shelf (GOTS) tools and applications to assist in the performance of its assigned mission. We are seeking to increase our utilization of COTS tools and business processes in order to decrease total process cycle times, reduce the time to search for and retrieve business information and reduce rework. CECOM is seeking information regarding existing proven business solutions which can be applied to streamline our ability to access information, improve the accuracy of the information presented and facilitate our existing and planned business processes. We seek solutions that require little or no integration, extensive process redesign, or modifications and have minimal sustainment costs.
