RE-ANNOUNCEMENT. Initial announcement: 11 Apr 2000. This announcement
constitutes the only request for quotation. Quotes are requested and a
written quotation will not be issued. This acquisition is 100%
set-aside for small businesses and the applicable Standard Industrial
Code (SIC) is 1795. PROVIDE ALL LABOR, PLANT, MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT AND
SUPERVISION TO PERFORM FOLLOWING OPERATIONS: (1) Demolish complete the
Administration Offices inside Hangar 5 of Building 708 located on Pope
AFB, NC. Comply with Statement of Work for Project Number TMKH 99-1028.
The site of the building is shown on the attached map. (2) Disassemble
and haul off base at the contractor's expense all concrete, metal,
glass, wood, and any other materials within the Hangar 5 space of
Building 708. (3) The condensing unit located on top of the
administration offices supports a computer room unit in the adjacent
section of Building 708. The contractor shall relocate the existing
condensing unit, and it's associated refrigerant lines, electrical
service, and control wires located on the roof of the administration
offices prior to demolition of the offices. The condensing unit
supports a computer room in the adjacent section of Building 708. The
contractor shall provide temporary cooling to the computer room during
the relocation of the condensing unit. The condensing unit shall be
located to the outside of Building 708, and shall be fully functional
after it is relocated. (4) The contractor shall disconnect, remove, and
cap the administration office utilities as necessary to make the hangar
space acceptable to receive aircraft. The contractor shall pressure
wash all the existing rafters, walls, columns, floors, and hangar doors
as necessary to ensure that all bird droppings, dust, and debris are
removed within Hangar 5. (5) As a result of the demolition work, the
contractor shall repair/demo the existing concrete floor of the hangar
as necessary to make it flush with the surrounding concrete floor. The
four-inch (4") slab is not bonded to the existing slab of Hanger 5. The
slab does contain wire mesh reinforcement. (6) The Fort Bragg landfill
may be used after filling out all appropriate paperwork and obtaining
a permit from the Fort Bragg Environmental office, Phone 910-396-3372.
(7) The as-built drawings for the Administration Offices inside Hangar
5 are attached to this Statement of Work for reference. (8) The
Administration Offices to be demolished are included in, but are not
limited to, these as-built drawings. (9) Contractor shall coordinate
with the contracting officer to ensure that all utility lines are
marked before any digging and/or demolition is accomplished. There may
be utility lines within the construction site that shall not be
disturbed. The contractor shall coordinate with the contracting officer
to ensure that any utility lines in use are not damaged or disturbed
during any portion of this contract. (10) Explosives shall not be used
on Pope AFB as part of this project. (11) According to Pope AFB
Environmental Office test results, the administration offices to be
demolished do not contain asbestos containing materials. (12) Site
visit has been scheduled for 12 July 2000 at 1400 hours, 43D
Contracting Squadron, 1443 Reilly Road, Pope AFB, NC. Closing date: 19
