The Department of Energy's Oakland Operations Office (DOE/OAK) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) No. DE-RP03-00SF22139 entitled, "Safeguards and Security Technical Support Services." The RFP will solicit proposals from small business concerns to provide technical support services to assist the Safeguards and Security Division in the implementation of the Safeguards and Security Programs for years 2001-2006. The technical requirements/tasks will be in the following programmatic areas: Classified Information Systems Security, Unclassified Information Systems Security, Internal Information Systems Security, Classified Matter Protection and Control, Foreign Visits and Assignments, Operations Security, Security Education/Foreign Travel, Protection Programs, and Security Evaluations and Planning. Offerors are advised that a Facility Clearance must be obtained prior to contract award. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. It is anticipated that the RFP will be available via the Internet on or about August 8, 2000.
