COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF JULY 7,2000 PSA#2637A -- CODE 920 FOLLOW-ON RECOMPETITION The NASA/Goddard Space Flight
Center (GSFC) is planning for the follow-on effort to the requirements
currently being performed under NAS5-99084 and NAS5-99085, for the
support to the Laboratory for Terrestrial Physics. This requirement
will support the Laboratory for Terrestrial Physics in the areas of
(but not limited to): mission planning, requirements analysis; systems
definition; evaluation of existing systems; development of new
software; programming; algorithm development; and acquiring,
processing, and analyzing scientific data. This effort will support
satellite remote sensing, field and aircraft instruments to measure
Earth, oceanic, biospheric and atmospheric processes. This procurement
will also include scientific and engineering support for the design,
development, and testing of remote sensors and sensor systems. This
procurement is currently planned to be a total small business
set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Size Standard are expected to
be 8731 and 500 employees, respectively. The period of performance and
contract type have not yet been determined. The anticipated release
date of the pre-solicitation synopsis should occur in the Fall 2000,
with an RFP release date of Spring 2001. Any documents related to this
procurement will be made available over the Internet. These documents
will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint
4.0) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which
