THIS SOLICITATION IS A COMPETITIVE 8 (A) PROCUREMENT RESTRICTED TO 8(A) PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS IN THE STATE OF TEXAS. Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract to construct two separate dormitory complexes (FY00 & FY01) consisting each of a 3 story facility, concrete foundation and floor slab, structural steel framing, masonry walls and standing seam metal roof. The curvilinear Great Room will have an architectural standing seam metal roof. Includes room-bath/kitchen-room modules, day rooms, linen storage, mechanical and communication rooms, fire protection, utilities, parking, and necessary support. Extend utility service to an unimproved area of the base. The FY00 Dormitory will be a base bid with the FY01 Dormitory as Option 1. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of the Internet and CD ROM. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued as Internet only. No additional media (Floppy Disks, Faxes, or paper) will be provided unless the Government determines that it is necessary.
