SOURCES are SOUGHT to provide Research and Development accelerated aging tests and analyses on long-term degradation during dormant (10- to 20-year) storage in order to assess the potential of detonator failure during the life cycle of the Multiple Event Hard Target Fuze (MEHTF). PerkinElmer Optoelectronics (PEO), P.O. Box 529, Bldg 63, Miamisburg, OH 45343-0529 (POC: Dr. Barry Neyer, 937-865-5586) is thought to be uniquely capable of performing this task. PEO developed the high-G shock hardened version of the commercial Blue Chip _ slapper detonator under contract F08630-99-C-0003 for the AF Research Laboratory, Munitions Directorate, Advanced Guidance Division (AFRL/MNMF). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only, does not constitute an IFB or RFP, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
