The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) San Diego, CA is currently soliciting offers for engineering services which will directly support the Naval Satellite Operations Center's (NAVSOC) Pt. Mugu, ongoing requirement for on-orbit satellite monitoring. NAVSOC is responsible to Naval Space Command (NAVSPACECOM) for the operational management and maintenance of assigned satellites and systems. To fulfill this responsibility, NAVSOC will require highly qualified and specialized contractor technical support to ensure mission capability twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. This support will consist of on-orbit performance evaluation, anomaly analysis, anomaly resolution, mission documentation, training, technical assistance, and ground segment support. The resulting contract will be designed to provide orbital and ground operations support for UHF Follow-On (UFO) communications satellites, Fleet Satellite (FLTSAT) communications Satellites, GEOSAT Follow-On (GFO) satellite, FLTSAT/EHF Packages (FEP), Polar EHF (P/EHF) payloads, and other satellites as assigned. The objective of contract is to ensure that existing and future satellite systems meet established mission requirements, to maintain the satellite health and welfare, and to prolong the life of these satellites. It is anticipated that a five year Indefinite Delivery Type Contract (IDTC) will be awarded with a one year base and 4 one year options. The government estimated labor hours is 90,052 per contract year and will include such labor categories as: On-Orbit Support Manager, Deputy On-Orbit Support Manager, Senior Satellite Engineer, Payload Specialist, Attitude Control System Specialist, Power Subsystem Specialist, Thermal Subsystem Specialist, Orbit Analyst, Analyst, Training Specialist, Electrical Engineer, Electronic Technician, Console Operator and Clerical Staff.
