36 -- REMOVE AND REPLACE STATION SWITCHGEAR SOL 00SP101453 DUE 090700 POC Tim Jones, Contract Specialist, 208/378-5364 The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) has a requirement to replace the existing station service switchgear at the Palisades Powerplant. The principal components of the work to be performed under these specifications include the following: Removing the existing Station Service Switchgear, Furnishing and installing the new Station Service Switchgear; Providing a temporary panelboard, cables, and connections to critical loads during the switchgear replacement; making all necessary changes and wiring connections to existing equipment to place the new equipment in service; pulling and terminating external Goverment furnished cables to place the new equipment in service. Palisades Powerplant is located at the Palisades Dam on the Snake River approximately 53 miles east of Idaho Falls, Idaho, on US Highway 26. Award will be best value to the Government and evaluation will be based on experience with switchgear equipment, past performance and price. The criteria will be further defined in the solicitation.
