65 -- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE SOL 553-87-00 DUE 072400 POC Ms. Patricia Fox, 313-576-4280 The Department of Veterans Affairs, John D. Dingell Medical Center intends to negotiate with Depuy, Inc., 700 Orthopaedic Drive, Warsaw, IN 46581-0988, for purchase of orthopedic surgical instruments. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Solicitation number RFQ: 553-87-00 has been assigned to this procurement. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13, SIC 3842. Vendor shall supply all orthopedic surgical instruments. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses to this notice, is soley the discretion of the government.
