J -- REPAIR AND CALIBRATION OF 79 MILLIPORE MASS FLOW CONTROLLERS SOL XMJ594 POC McDonald Morrison (919/541-4364) The Environmental Protection Agency intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Millipore Corporation, 80 Ashby Road, Bldg. G, Bedford, MA 01730 for the repair and calibration of seventy-nine (79) Millipore Corporation mass flow controllers. Due to the proprietary information regarding the repair and calibration of the mass flow controllers, EPA believes that Millipore Corporation, as the manufacturer of the equipment, is the only vendor capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. The period of performance for this service contract is expected to be from July 31, 2000 through September 30, 2001. No solicitation is available. All interested parties must identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 15 days of the date of this announcement. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the requirements outlined above; and, 2) provide pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible.
