The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), through the ADP Acquisitions Branch, Program Support Center (PSC) intends to award a ten (10) month sole source simplified acquisition to Community Connections of Washington, DC. The purpose of this acquisition is to complete a developmental initiative for the implementation of a Men and Violence Trauma Empowerment and Recovery Model (M-TREM) involving: (1) completion of planning meetings with key organizations involved to describe products under development, learn what use may be made of these products by each group and plan a corresponding technical assistance initiative; (2) development of a "white paper" to provide a conceptual background for issues and outline the range of possible use and users for M-TREM; (3)final development of M-TREM with all accompanying documentation; (4) development of training materials to accompany M-TREM; and (5) dissemination of the video "Women Speak Out" and the white paper. The closing date is July 19, 2000. This is not a formal solicitation for proposals; however, firms having the ability to satisfy this requirement must submit written notification to demonstrate the ability to do so. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days for the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer shall proceed with award to Community Connections. See Numbered Note 22.
