WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE FALL TECH EXPO White Sands Missile Range will be hosting an ON-SITE Technology Expo on Tuesday, October 17, 2000. This event will be promoted to over 7,000 Civilian and 1,000 Military Personnel, most of whom are Engineers, Technicians, or from other Technically Related Fields. WSMR is an Army operated range and is part of the Test and Evaluation Command (TECOM) which reports to the Army Materiel Command (AMC). It has been designed as a DoD Major Range and Test Facility which possess unique and critical capabilities needed by the Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA and other members of the testing community. The Principle Mission at WSMR is to operate and manage the facility, coordinate the test schedules of many testing programs, and provide technical support for tests. Some technologies of interest for this event include: Real Time Applications, Network Security, Networking, Telecommunications, Office Automation, Testing Equipment, Presentation Systems, Multimedia, Workstations, Storage Devices, Data Acquisition, Imaging, CD-ROM, CAD/CAE, E-Mail, UNIX, Notebooks/Laptops, Data Communications, Video Teleconferencing, Wireless LAN's, Project Management, Client/Server Connections as well as other high tech products. This is a hugh location, focusing on research & development and testing. Our past event at this location had over 280 attendees with a documented 224 sign-in's.
