Project consists of building bridge foundations and one span of superstructure and placing an existing prefabricated bridge on a new foundation. The bridges span Kosk Creek adjacent to Big Bend Road on Shasta-Trinity National Forest, approximately 50 miles northeast of Redding, Shasta County, California. Principal items of work include lump sum contractor testing, 1,500 cubic meters of wire-enclosed riprap, 150 cubic meters of structural concrete, 16,000 kilograms of reinforcing steel, 37,000 kilograms of structural steel and moving an existing prefabricated steel panel bridge to a detour location and then its permanent location. Price range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Contract time is 150 calendar days with an estimated start date of October 1, 2000. No pre-bid tour is planned.
