An industry day is being announced for the Deployable Oxygen System (DOS), and is being held in coordination with the Oxygen Standardization Coordinating Group (OSCG) meeting. The working level meeting is scheduled to take place at the Ramada Inn, located at 1500 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, Ft Walton Beach, FL 32848 from 8-11 Aug 2000. This meeting will introduce the goals of the tri-services and industry. These goals include promoting oxygen systems safety, standards, technologies, reliability, commonality, and life cycle costs. In addition, the Government will present DOS Program information and will arrange for off-line meetings with interested contractors. These discussions will be on Friday, 12 August; the amount of time scheduled for each contractor will be determined based on responses to this notice, and will be no less than 1 hour for each contractor. Furthermore, the Government is using various methods of early industry involvement during the Pre-Milestone 0 phase of the DOS system. Some preliminary draft program information is available for your review at our Brooks AF Base website (sarah.brooks.af.mil). The Government is currently in the acquisition planning phase, and encourages questions regarding the DOS requirement. All questions that are asked will be posted on SARAH, along with their answers.
