This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This solicitation (F38601-00-Q0053) incorporates provisions and clauses identified in FAR Subpart 12, FAC 97-16, as required. Standard Industrial Classification is 7999 with a $5M size standard. This requirement is 100% set-aside for small business. Women-owned businesses are encouraged to participate in this solicitation. This is a firm-fixed price best value procurement using Commercial Procedures, FAR 12, 13.5 and FAR 15.101-1, Performance-Price tradeoff process. The Government intends to award one contract. The attached Request for Quote, Performance Work Statement (for CLIN 0001) and Statement of Objectives (SOO) (for CLIN 0002) describe the requirement. This project provides support for an event entitled ShawFest 2000 to be held on 21 Oct 2000 on Shaw AFB SC and this support must fulfill all the objectives of the attached SOO. Present/past performance when combined with the technical presentation is significantly more important than price. A one-hour oral presentation (technical proposal) with questions and answer period is required and shall be scheduled with the contract negotiator identified below for 18 Jul 2000.
