IAW AR215-1, 7-4 and 7-5 the U.S. Army Alaska is conducting a review of potential contractor services for performance of activities within the Directorate of Community Activity Services at the US Army garrison. The programs under consideration are located at Fort Richardson and Fort Wainwright Alaska. The major functional areas are the NAF Golf Courses (Chena Bend and Moose Run). The purpose of this notice is to identify and establish initial interest from the vendor community. Responses are for planning purposes only. There is no obligation on the part of the government to issue a formal solicitation as a result of this request and participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the US Government. Information may be used to help formulate bidder's mailing lists, acquisition strategies, to include socioeconomic program support and to help establish commercial practices available to the government. Companies responding may indicate interest in one or both functional areas. Services are currently being performed by Government employees (all non-appropriated funded). Moose Run Golf Course: Program hours of operation are from 7am to 10pm Monday through Friday, weekends vary. There are six full-time employees, four regular part-time employees and fifty-four flex employees. Provides programs and services: Operates 36 hole golf course; driving range with resale activities; golf car rentals; golf course pro-shop; golf lessons; snack bar and golf course food service; practice putting greens and chipping ranges; provide course marshals and starters to keep play on schedule; provide ball washing, dispensing and retrieval; maintain golf course including tees, fairways, greens and roughs; maintain golf course equipment and golf cars. Chena Bend Golf Course: Hours of operation are from 7am to 8:00pm from May 15th through September 20th. There are 24 employees of which 22 are seasonal. Provides programs and services: operate 18 hole golf course, driving range, club house, food service operation, pro shop and maintain complex including course; provide golf play for intramural sports program; provide snack bar service and other food service on the course; provide golf cars and maintain them; operate pro-shop including retail sales; offer golf equipment rental; maintain golf course equipment; maintain tees, fairways, greens and roughs; use GolfTrac! computer system to record revenue.
