The Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia is seeking a qualified individual or organization to provide the services of a Licensed Phlebotomist. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Non-Personal Services Requirements contract that includes One Base year and the Government's unilateral right to exercise three, twelve month option periods. Scheduling will normally consist of five sessions per week, with each session being six hours in duration. Hours of work will generally be from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The contractor will: draw blood samples, prepare samples for shipment and processing, maintain logs and records, file back up copies of reports, and maintain quality assurance standards as dictated by the Quality Assurance Committee. The services also include performing minor laboratory procedures such as urine dipstick, glucometer readings, hematocrit and fecal occult blood smears.
